Cold-Link’s warehousing network has recently expanded and is under construction with a new 200,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Ellisville, Mississippi and we are actively recruiting for our Material Handler team at our new temperature-controlled food grade distribution center. As the warehouse is still under construction, we are looking for this job to begin in early June 2024.

Summary:

The Cold-Link Logistics Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of our customers’ products. You will operate the most modern material handling equipment and scanning software in a fast-paced temperature-controlled warehouse environment.

Essential Duties:

• Being a TEAM Player, working cooperatively with others to meet daily service demands.
• Working most of the day in warehouse temperatures ranging from -10 to 32 degrees, wearing Company-provided cold weather gear.
• Operating power industrial equipment safely and effectively, including pallet jacks, high-level stand-up reach trucks, and stand-up dock trucks.
• Loading/unloading trailers, putting/pulling pallets in and out of high-level storage racks.
• Stacking cases onto pallets with accuracy and timeliness, using proper lifting techniques.
• Counting and checking materials to food quality standards, ensuring high level of accuracy.
• Using hand-held and vehicle mounted radio frequency scanners for managing inventory.
• Maintaining clean work areas suitable for food storage and distribution.
• Working safely and efficiently, making the best use of your time on the job.

• Previous 2 yrs warehouse equipment experience; using forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, etc...
• Ability to accurately perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) as required for daily warehousing tasks.
• Willingness to follow and support all safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements & Schedule:

• Core working hours are Monday to Friday, but in some situations will require Saturday hours based on customer needs. Day shift from 7AM – 3:30PM.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and handle product both manually and with equipment.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -10 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.
• This is a safety sensitive position. Applicants offered this position will have to submit to a substance screening.
